Output
Output (bottom area) is Studio's single list of messages: log messages, build output, and problems found in your project, scripts, compiler output and render graphs. Click a problem to go to the line that caused it.
The top line shows "No output yet.", the message count, or the error and warning counts. The Project overview shows the same counts.
Entries
Each row reads [Category] message — path:line:column. Errors and warnings
have their own icon and color. Categories include Studio, Documents, Build,
Package, Compiler, Assets, Material, Models, Scene, Plugins, Render graph and
the language server name (for example BtLang).
| Action | Result |
|---|---|
| Click a row | Expands long text; click again to collapse. |
| Click a problem that has a location | Opens the file at that line in Source Editor. If the problem is about a scene record, model part, material or asset, that item is also selected in its editor and Inspector. |
| Click a build failure with no location | Points the status bar at the full build log. |
When a problem is fixed, its entry disappears the next time that check runs, without clearing unrelated messages.
Project checks
Studio checks your asset registry, scene and model files against each other, including unsaved edits, after a project loads and after each change to them.
| Category | Reports |
|---|---|
| Assets | Duplicate asset names. |
| Animation | Animations that use a missing image. |
| Material | Unknown mesh systems; missing required textures; repeated or undeclared texture inputs and parameters; textures that use missing images. |
| Models | Duplicate model names; repeated material slots; slots that use missing materials; repeated part or collider names; part shapes Studio does not support; parts that use missing slots. |
| Scene | Duplicate record names; records that use missing models. |
Build output
Build output appears as it runs. Compiler errors and warnings (GCC, Clang and MSVC formats) become clickable problems for files in your project. A failed build ends with an error quoting the most relevant line; a finished package build reports "Build complete".
Limits
- The list keeps the newest 256 entries.
- Not implemented: filtering, copying, clearing, timestamps.
- Problems from project checks and language servers have a line but no column.
